The
pool was a community project constructed to commemorate Canada's Centennial in
1967 on land provided by the late Fred Cook. Nestled in the Silver Creek valley
just south of the village, the site combines the natural beauty of the area with
convenient access of the Yellowhead Highway and all the amenities expected of a
modern campground. Although the project is now 30 years old, the pool was
completely rebuilt in 1993 with new washroom / shower and concession facilities
being added in 1996.
Every summer, almost 200 children and adults take lessons in our pool. The campground is full of parents that relax in the wide open spaces knowing that their children are safe and having fun, whether it be in the pool, at the playground, hiking or enjoying a round of miniature golf!
The pool opens
early-mid June. From May 1st until that time, our
office is open from 7 to 10 p.m., extending to 11 a.m. -
11 p.m. when the pool is in operation.
